Opening question(s):
Option 1 - For whom would you cast your vote for a "Top Progressive of the Era" award?
Option 2 - Based on what you've read, what is the progressive plank you most agree with? Have the most problem with?
Option 3 - Choose a person from the era and write a bumper sticker slogan for them. Be ready to explain its meaning to the group.
Core questions:
1. How progressive would the Progressives of this era be considered today?
2. What are your thoughts on the relationship of democracy and Progressivism (as a political movement)?
3. If continual improvement of the human condition is an aim of Progressives, why is progressivism even needed?
Closing question:
1. What Progressive reforms do you think have not been realized that need to be addressed in today's society?

Final Reflection
As you can see, the Progressive Era was a multi-faceted movement that may have had no clear end. From politicians being branded today as Progressive to ever-changing social activism and political critique, the Progressives and their legacy shook the very foundations of society and profoundly impacted the ways in which we live today. Only by seeing this movement through the eyes of multiple individuals representing complex and diverse causes do we truly understand the impact of the Progressive Era.
